my nephew ARJUN turned 4 last month...

he is crazy for dinosaurs.

His mum asked me to make something for his room

i chose a pic from his coloring books....the font used for his name is his own writing...(notice the upside down "S"  )

Embroidery as Art....

i always wondered how i should save the sketches that children do. i chanced upon Jenny Blog http://embroideryasart.blogspot.com/ and started my journey in the same directon.

started making a bandhanwar...

A Bandhanwar is a door hanging which is hung at the entrance of each house from one end of the door to the other, slightly above the average walking height. This is done, because not only does the Bandhanwar serve as a beautiful ethnic decoration but also it is supposed to ward away any evil that may venture at the entrance of any house. 

this is what i have been upto since a month....

i started this a month back...did not  know what i should name it...till Raunak tells me these r the 8 planets....(remember Pluto is no longer called a planet !!)

a gift for my Dad.....

its a sense of great achievement to see my first "art piece" complete today. Started as a sampler for all types of stitches, i made this hibiscus as is a stain glass background.
